Some Connections

I am doing some studying regarding a scripture that has new meaning to me; that I discovered when I was preparing my gospel doctrine lesson last week.  It is Romans 5:1-5, especially verses 3 and 4. 

"we glory in tribulation also:  knowing that tribulation worketh patience; patience, experience; and experience, hope"

I am beginning my study with tribulation (synonyms are adversity, test, try, prove - these are from a footnote).  I read Acts 14:22 that says we continue in faith and through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.  I understand we cannot qualify to be with God unless we have proven our obedience and our loyalty to Him.  So, through being tested and tried we prove our valiance and dedication to the Lord.
