Something else new from the Berg

When I was out walking this morning (it was a bit later than I usually go so there were students walking to campus) I had my ear buds in and was enjoying my music when I heard a noise behind me that sounded like a speaker from a police car. I didn't turn around but just kept walking. I heard it again, and then again getting closer all the time. I finally stopped and turned just in time to see an SUV drive past as the driver, speaker in hand, and said hello to the girl in the green sweater (she was passing me as his message was blared out over his speakers). It then occurred to me that what I had heard was him stopping at the crosswalks (there are 3) and inviting the people to cross. Look for him and maybe he will call out to you as he passes.
