On Saturday Jen needed to go to campus to work on her final cake. With Nick recovering from his surgery, Kennedy met me at Albertson's and we went grocery shopping together. I bought her a doughnut she picked out, we got the other things we needed, and then we came home. Bruce was working in the front yard so she stayed outside to help him. After a while I wondered where she was and went to check. There Kiki was, raking leaves, holding the bag with her little treat. I offered to take it inside so she could have it later but she wanted to have it with her in case she needed a bite. By the time she got done the doughnut was pretty melted but she was happy.
