Howling Winter

Winter did not arrive until after graduation on December 12th. On the 13th it started to snow and has not stopped since. That means we have been blessed with this much snow in 2 weeks! Here are some pictures we took on Christmas Eve. We had winds that pushed the storm to a blizzard rating. Wow - winter has arrive with a vengeance.
This is what we had at the bottom of the front steps. It takes a while to shovel that much snow!

You can see that the snow is up to Bruce's knees when he is standing on the top step. Yikes.

You can see what the wind did to the snow on the top of the railing on the porch. That is a small evergreen tree in the right background that is completely covered with snow. The snow blower just threw its belt off so we have to wait until Monday to take it in to have it repaired. Nick helped Bruce dig out this afternoon and as I look out the window it is snowing like crazy!
