Yesterday my students presented their final cakes. These were some of the best I have seen so here are just a few of them. They put them of the tables and then had 5 minutes to explain about them. You can see everything from Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland and Nascar. They were amazing and I was proud of the efforts of these great students.
This student's boyfriend had been accepted to the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He is in dental school there. The bottom border is teeth that she made.
This student loves cows and so she created a farm including a pig sty on the top with "dirt" and little piggies rolling around. She also has "water" with ducks, sheep, cows and even dandelions in the grass.
This student wanted to take the elements of a living room and put them into a cake. The bottom (with the fondant draping) represents a table with wallpaper pattern on top. Then she added a vase with roses. On the vase she used fondant pieces for a mosaic feel.
