I may give up driving in Rexburg

On my way to campus this morning (driving in the snow!) I noticed flashing lights behind me. I thought to myself that the police car must have someplace important to go. I pulled over to let him go past and to my surprise, he pulled over behind me. I had NO idea why. I rolled down my window and he told me that he had stopped me because I was driving with expired plates. What? He said they had expired in July of 08. What? I was sure that the tag had been misplaced and that the registration was just fine. Oh yes - I pulled it out, and the date on it was July 08. We bought my rig in June and had everything transferred then and Bruce thinks the county has made the mistake. We don't believe we can prove that so tomorrow I will go to the county offices and pay the registration and then cross the street to the courthouse and pay the $52 fine. I am not happy!
